A Miracle—2,000 Visitors and Counting!
“I want to save a thousand people!”

After two years of preparation,
my solo exhibition at the Ueno Royal Museum Gallery — one of the biggest challenges of my artistic journey — has come to a successful close.
For the past two years, I spent many sleepless nights gripped by anxiety, wondering,
“What if no one shows up…?”
To fight that fear, I set an incredibly ambitious goal under the slogan:
“I want to save a thousand people.”
I aimed to bring in 1,000 visitors, and to achieve that, I livestreamed the creation process on TikTok and Instagram every single day, spreading the word about the exhibition.
I used to dream…
“What if people line up at the reception, and the queue stretches outside the museum?”
“What if I get to do an artist talk, and people line up to pick up my art book…?”
While those thoughts felt like pure fantasy, the two-year preparation period was a relentless battle of physical and emotional endurance, consumed by pressure, fear, and the race against time.
Dreams came true
When I saw so many people lining up from early in the morning on the day of the exhibition, I was overwhelmed with surprise and emotion — I couldn’t find the words to speak.
So many people came to listen to my talk, and the sight of everyone lining up with my art book in hand — it was exactly the vision I had dreamed of.
To those who traveled by bullet train or plane just to come see the exhibition,
To those who helped with the preparations,
To those who supported me through my daily livestreams, especially when I was so anxious that I broke down in tears…
This exhibition was a great success because of all of you who stood by me.
What I once thought was impossible — a dream far too big for me to realize alone — became reality.
It was only because I wasn’t alone that I was able to experience such an unbelievable and joyful moment.
Now, I’m setting my sights on the next big dream.
I will continue to dedicate myself fully so I can create even more beautiful works — and share them with you again.
Please continue to walk with me on this journey.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
