I had the honor of holding a Shabutsu (Buddha-copying meditation) gathering at Ryoseiji Temple in Nishiyodogawa-ku, Osaka.

To my great surprise and joy, participants traveled from all over Japan—including Shizuoka, Gifu, and many other regions—to join the event in Osaka.

There is a Japanese saying, “When the thought arises, that is the auspicious day.”
I was deeply moved to see how a sincere wish to “go and experience it!” can become a powerful force that transcends distance and time.

Thanks to the warm generosity of Reverend Toda, the chief priest of Ryoseiji Temple, we were also blessed to receive a special prayer and purification ritual following the dedication ceremony.
As the sound of the wooden sword echoed through the hall, we all joined our hands together in prayer and felt the profound protection of the temple’s principal deity.
I am sincerely grateful for such heartfelt hospitality.

After the Shabutsu gathering, we held our traditional Osaka social gathering, where friends and supporters—even some from distant cities such as Nagoya—came together.
We enjoyed lively conversations about the upcoming VOLTA Basel exhibition in Switzerland, as well as our ongoing artistic activities and creative journeys.

To everyone who participated in both the Shabutsu gathering and the Osaka meetup—
