We are pleased to announce that the Grand Shabutsu Gathering at Zojoji, hosted by Eisui, will return in 2026!

This annual tradition will welcome 70 participants once again to join in the sacred practice of shabutsu—tracing an image of Amitabha Buddha in quiet reflection.

The gathering will take place in the Koshoden Hall, located to the left of the temple’s main hall.
After the drawing session, we will hold a special Dedication Ceremony (Hōnō no Gi) in the temple’s Grand Main Hall.

This private ceremony, held in the sacred space of the Daihondō (Main Hall), offers a rare opportunity to begin the new year with solemn prayers and heartfelt dedication.
